Chuburna Puerto is a 45 minute drive from the Merida International Airport and about a 4 hour drive from Cancun. There are a few small restaurants in Chuburna Puerto and the next small town over, Chelem has more dining options. Progreso, a 20 minute drive, has a few larger stores where you can buy both food and clothing. Merida, the capital of the state of Yucatan has many major stores such as Costco, Walmart, Sears and Home Depot to name just a few.
